The result:
An identity and access management system tailored to the customer’s requirements was introduced for the customer. The newly created user administration enables the central assignment, modification and deletion of rights. Depending on the user profile and the type of IT application used, it allows e.g. B. a time-limited user access to the systems. Authorized persons have the possibility to create reports with the option of automated delivery of the reports by e-mail. The system was designed to be audit-proof.
The automation of the user management processes and a central administration of rights has significantly reduced the administrative effort for the customer. The newly introduced user management system always contains the actual information on the active users. In addition, it is possible to identify the software licenses used or required in a matter of seconds. This add-on thus increases the potential for generating cost optimizations.
The consultant’s comment:
In the early phase of the project, we opted for a “proof of concept” of the chosen identity and access management system. With the real proof of concept in a mini version, we were able to test the core functionalities, the working method and the system acceptance on the user side. During the “live demo” further specifications of the requirements were included, which had a positive effect on the implementation time and the user-friendliness of the application.
Time and again, projects can be implemented on time and on budget thanks to good preparation, planning and a constant exchange of knowledge. In the project itself, a regular flow of information towards management and the project team is of enormous importance for success and fun.
