{"id":53,"date":"2023-02-27T17:32:48","date_gmt":"2023-02-27T17:32:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/scillcon\/?post_type=casestudie&#038;p=53"},"modified":"2025-02-06T12:24:13","modified_gmt":"2025-02-06T12:24:13","slug":"introduction-user-management","status":"publish","type":"casestudie","link":"https:\/\/beta.scillcon.com\/eng\/casestudie\/introduction-user-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction User Management"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Der Kunde: > 500 Mitarbeiter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The general conditions:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A central, client-capable and customer-tailored user administration should be introduced.&nbsp;The legal, statutory and regulatory requirements as well as SOX compliance should be observed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The client&#8217;s requirements:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The new IT system had to be implemented in the existing IT architecture with LDAP, e-mail server and various other IT and business applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The role of the consultant:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements and project management<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The tasks of the consultant:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Creation of requirement documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>project initiation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creation of decision templates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review\/audit of essential interim results\/concepts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identification and tracking of resource capacities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tracking of the defined milestones<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Control of the project phases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continuous creation and execution of the weekly status reporting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continuous monitoring of the central action item lists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of the project team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conducting workshops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commissioning of internal services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>risk management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quality assurance (time, quality, budget)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing the phase transitions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completion of the project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>project documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The result:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An identity and access management system tailored to the customer&#8217;s requirements was introduced for the customer.&nbsp;The newly created user administration enables the central assignment, modification and deletion of rights.&nbsp;Depending on the user profile and the type of IT application used, it allows e.g.&nbsp;B. a time-limited user access to the systems.&nbsp;Authorized persons have the possibility to create reports with the option of automated delivery of the reports by e-mail.&nbsp;The system was designed to be audit-proof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The automation of the user management processes and a central administration of rights has significantly reduced the administrative effort for the customer.&nbsp;The newly introduced user management system always contains the actual information on the active users.&nbsp;In addition, it is possible to identify the software licenses used or required in a matter of seconds.&nbsp;This add-on thus increases the potential for generating cost optimizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The consultant&#8217;s comment:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the early phase of the project, we opted for a &#8220;proof of concept&#8221; of the chosen identity and access management system.&nbsp;With the real proof of concept in a mini version, we were able to test the core functionalities, the working method and the system acceptance on the user side.&nbsp;During the &#8220;live demo&#8221;
